Irricana is a town of just under 1,200 people northeast of Calgary, surrounded by Rocky View County farmland. Its name comes from the early irrigation projects in the area, and it still has the feel of a farm-service town, with Pioneer Acres Museum and its vintage tractors just up the road. Nobody in Irricana is going to sell a dead car by parking it with a sign in the window. The market is Calgary, and the problem is getting it there.
That is what we solve. Our tow is included in the offer, so the economics that make it pointless to drag a scrap car 70 kilometres yourself do not apply. We price on the whole vehicle, not just the weight: engine, transmission, body panels, catalytic converter, wheels and battery all count, and the offer reflects them.
Most of what we buy in Irricana is farm-related. A 1990s F-250 that has spent its retirement as a yard truck is a good example. Rust in the box and a motor that will not turn over do not stop us, because the frame, axles and cab still carry value. Add in the acreages between Irricana and Beiseker, and we often collect two or three vehicles from one property in a single trip.
